At JMAO, we are more than just an association; we are a movement dedicated to empowering our members through advocacy, education, and unity while protecting them against antisemitism and anti-Zionism. To empower and unite Jewish physicians and healthcare professionals by building a collaborative community dedicated to advocacy, combatting antisemitism, fostering personal growth, promoting Jewish education, and building solidarity with Israel, while supporting our members to make impactful contributions in the communities where we live and serve.

Our Values
Unity
We believe in the strength of a united community that embraces diversity, fosters collaboration, and amplifies the collective voice of Jewish medical professionals while advocating for cultural understanding and solidarity with Israel as the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people.
Advocacy
We are dedicated to advocating for the rights, well-being, and professional interests of Jewish physicians, healthcare professionals, and learners, as well as for culturally safe care for Jewish patients and their families. We actively combat antisemitism (as defined by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s working definition), support Israel, and ensure exceptional, equitable and compassionate care regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or any other marker of social identity.

We uphold the highest standards of excellence in healthcare, education, and professional conduct. We strive for continuous improvement and innovation in our field, while working towards increasing the voice and inclusion of Jewish physicians and healthcare professionals.

We actively work to expand the representation and voice of Jewish physicians and healthcare professionals, and to ensure that no member feels harassed for being Jewish or supporting Israel.
Learning & Growth
We are committed to lifelong learning, sharing knowledge, and fostering professional growth opportunities for our members. This includes education on antisemitism (including anti-Zionism), Jewish religious traditions as they pertain to healthcare, Jewish history and culture, and solidarity with Israel, with a focus on enhancing the voice of Jewish physicians and healthcare professionals in their workplaces and within their professions. This also includes mentoring the next generation of Jewish physicians and other health professionals during their training and early careers.
